Garden of the Gods

We arrived in Colorado Springs and got a room for the night. The next morning we drove over to the Garden of the Gods to see what it was all about. If you get the chance, this is a wonderful place to go. They have an excellent Visitors Center with numerous exhibits. There is also a 15 minute film which provides the history of the Garden. After the film and a tour of the Visitor's center, we drove through the park. There is quite a bit of traffic and few places to park when you want to take a picture. After we left the park, we drove by the Pikes peak Railroad to see what the schedules were.

There was a train leaving in only a few minutes so we bought some tickets and got ready to ride. That is in the next story.
