Miscellaneous
Here are some pictures which are from various parts of our trip, but do not really fit in a particular place.
When we left Durango to head home, it was about 32 degrees. When we crossed the state line into new mexico it was 28 degrees. it finally started warming up as we got near Albuquerque.
The wind was strong for the whole trip. Just before Amarillo we saw it being put to good use. There was a large wind farm consisting of a lot of those great big windmills. The wind was so strong that you were afraid the wind would warp the car door when you opened it.
This is the famous Broadmore Hotel. We considered staying there, but it was a little pricy for us.
This was a crossing sign for dinosaurs.
We went through this little town that must have had a strong zoning law. All stores had very neat store fronts and signs that were only so high. This was the neatest Walmart store we had seen.
