Pikes Peak Cog Railroad

This railroad rides on a track that goes almost in a straight line up Pikes peak. The track has gear cogs in the track that propel the train because trying to move it with wheel power would not work.

We did not get to go all the way to the top because of steady winds at the top of the mountain which were around 70 MPH.

After we got near to where we were stopping, I was glad we could not go to the top. I got altitude sickness. Dizzy, light headed and a headache.

Following this ride, we went to the room and layed down.  The next day we decided to do so gambling so we headed to Cripple Creek.
